How Much Does a Full Men's Grooming Package Cost in Ontario in 2026?

What the ninety-minute package actually buys

A full men's grooming package in Ontario generally runs about $90–$150. At Othman's it is $120 at Lancaster, Guelph and Westheights and $110 at Waterloo, covering roughly ninety minutes: a cut, a hot towel straight-razor shave, a mask, threading or wax, and a wash.

A full grooming package is not a haircut with extras bolted on. It is a booked block of time — ninety minutes or more — in which several services are done in a deliberate order, each one setting up the next. That is the thing being priced, and it is why the number sits so far above a walk-in cut.

The short answer: what packages actually cost

At Othman's the full package is $120 at Lancaster, Guelph and Westheights, and $110 at Waterloo. It runs 1 hour 30 minutes at Lancaster, Waterloo and Westheights, and 1 hour 40 minutes at Guelph.

Across Ontario barbershops generally, the same kind of package lands somewhere between roughly $90 and $150 depending on how many services are inside it and how long the chair is held. A shop advertising a “package” near $50 is almost always selling two services — usually a cut and a beard trim — in a 45-minute slot. That is a fine thing to buy. It is not the same purchase.

Prices move. The booking screen for your shop is the authority, and the figures above were checked against it on 17 October 2026.

What's in the Othman's full package

The contents differ slightly by shop, because the shops do not all offer the same add-on services. At Westheights the package is a haircut or zero fade, a hot towel straight-razor shave, a black mask, threading, a hair wash, and a facial.

At Guelph it is a haircut or zero fade, a hot towel shave, a black mask, a face wax, and a hair wash and dry — in a slightly longer 1 hour 40 minute booking.

The order is the point. The shave comes after the cut so the neckline is already set. The mask and the facial come after the shave, while the skin is still open from the steam and the hot towels. Done in the wrong sequence, the same six services give you a worse result.

Why it costs more than a $50 cut and beard

Time, mostly. A haircut at Othman's is a 30-minute booking. A haircut and beard trim is 45 minutes. The full package is 90 to 100. You are buying roughly twice the chair, and a barber's day only holds so many of those blocks.

The hot towel shave is the part that cannot be rushed. It is a straight razor against the grain, with steam and hot towels to soften the beard first — 30 minutes on its own, and the single most skill-dependent thing in the shop. A hot towel shave done properly is what separates a package from a bundle.

The rest is product and detail work: the mask, the threading or wax, the wash. Small individually. Together they are most of the difference between walking out tidy and walking out finished.

Package vs booking services separately: the math

Worth doing honestly, because the answer is not the same at every shop.

At Westheights, booking the same six services one at a time costs $35 for the haircut, $30 for the hot towel shave, $20 for the black mask, $20 for threading, $10 for the hair wash and $40 for the facial package — $155 in total. The package is $120. You save $35, and you get one booking instead of six.

At Guelph the arithmetic is different: the components come to about $115 against a $120 package, so the package is priced for the longer 1 hour 40 minute slot rather than as a discount. If you only want two or three of the services, book those two or three — it will cost less.

The general rule: the package is worth it when you actually want most of what is in it. It is not a discount you should buy your way into. Prices for individual services are on the full price list, and each shop's own menu is on its page — Lancaster, Waterloo, Guelph and Westheights.

Common questions

How long does the full package take? Ninety minutes at Lancaster, Waterloo and Westheights; 1 hour 40 minutes at Guelph. Book it rather than walking in — it needs a reserved block.

What exactly is included? It varies by shop, because not every location offers every add-on. The booking screen lists the contents under each package before you confirm.

Is HST included in the price? Ontario HST is 13%. The booking screen shows what the shop will charge for the service — check the total there before you confirm.

Should I tip on top? Tipping is customary in Canadian barbershops and 15–20% is the usual range, but it is your call and nobody will treat you differently either way.

Can I book part of the package? Yes. Every service inside it can be booked on its own, and if you only want two or three, that is cheaper than the package.

Four shops. One standard.
