Unhurried, and finished properly
Our Lancaster shop is on Lancaster St W just past Bridgeport, a few minutes from Centre In The Square and the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, with parking on site so you are not circling the block before a haircut.
Every appointment starts with a consultation, not a guess. Your barber looks at how your hair actually grows — the cowlick, the crown, the hairline that will not sit flat — and cuts to that rather than to a picture that was taken on somebody else's head. Bring a photo if you have one; it helps, and we will tell you honestly how close we can get it.
The work runs the full range: skin fades and tapers blended so there is no visible line, scissor cuts and textured crops for anyone growing their hair out, beard shaping lined with a straight razor, and traditional hot towel shaves. Senior and children's cuts too, at a discounted rate, for families in the neighbourhood.

What we do here
Pick the cut first
Knowing the guard number before you sit down saves five minutes of guessing. Show your barber the name, or just the number.
0–2Guard
Skin fade
Bare at the neckline, blended up into length on top. The blend is the whole job — done properly there is no line where one length becomes the next. Grows out fastest, so plan on about three weeks.
2–4Guard
Mid taper fade
Softer contrast, starting higher on the head. Holds its shape longer than a skin fade, which makes it the practical pick if you want one cut to carry you.
ScissorOn top
Scissor cut
Cut entirely with shears, no clippers on top. Point-cut through the ends to take weight out without losing length, so it falls naturally instead of sitting in a block. Grows out well.
ScissorMod & classic
Mod cut
A proper side part or a French crop with a real disconnect — the sharp, tailored end of barbering. Ask at Guelph or Waterloo, where we cut these most.
3–4Guard
Crew cut
Short and even all over, a little longer at the front. Nothing to style in the morning, and the lowest-maintenance cut we do.
BeardRazor line
Beard & hot towel
Shaped to your jaw rather than a template, lined with a straight razor, finished with a hot towel. The detail work people come back for.

Our Lancaster shop is at 321 Lancaster St W, Kitchener, ON N2H 4V4. We are just past the Bridgeport area and minutes from Centre In The Square and the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, with on-site parking available.
Does the Lancaster location accept walk-ins?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome any time a chair is free. We do prioritise booked appointments so we can hold the schedule and give every cut its full time, so if you want a specific barber or a specific slot, booking online is the safer call — it takes under a minute.
What services are offered at the Lancaster Street shop?
Skin fades and tapers, scissor cuts and textured crops, beard shaping and line-ups, and traditional hot towel straight-razor shaves. We also cut senior and children's hair at a discounted rate for the local Kitchener community.
Do you only do fades, or can you cut longer hair too?
Both. Fades are what we are best known for, but our barbers are trained on shears as well as clippers — scissor cuts, textured crops, side parts and longer layered work are all part of the job here. If you are growing your hair out and want it shaped rather than shortened, say so when you book and we will cut for the shape you are heading towards.
What payment methods are accepted at Othman's Lancaster?
Debit, all major credit cards, and cash. If you prefer cash there is an Othman's-managed ATM inside the shop with zero service charges, so you can withdraw exactly what you need — for the cut or the tip — without paying a fee.
Is there parking at the Lancaster location?
Yes. There is convenient on-site parking, which makes Lancaster the easiest of our four shops to reach by car. Pull in, park at the door, and come in.
Can I request a specific barber?
Yes. Book online and choose your barber by name. Once you have found someone whose work you like, request them every visit — they will have your previous cut on file.
