Both Othman's Kitchener shops take walk-ins every day — Lancaster at 321 Lancaster St W and Westheights at 450 Westheights Dr. Monday to Friday 10 AM to 7:30 PM, Saturday 10 to 6, Sunday 11 to 5. No appointment or phone call.
Most men do not plan a haircut. They notice it in the mirror on a Saturday morning and want it dealt with that day. That is a walk-in, and not every shop in Kitchener still takes them.
The short answer
Both Othman's shops in Kitchener take walk-ins every day they are open. Lancaster at 321 Lancaster St W and Westheights at 450 Westheights Dr, Unit 2 — Monday to Friday 10 AM to 7:30 PM, Saturday 10 to 6, Sunday 11 to 5.
No appointment, no phone call. Turn up and a barber takes you when a chair is free.
When walking in actually works
Weekday mornings are the quietest hours of the week in both shops. If you can go between 10 and noon Monday to Thursday, you will usually sit down more or less straight away.
Saturday afternoon is the opposite — it is the busiest window in every barbershop in the region, and it is the one time booking ahead genuinely saves you something.
Sunday late morning is the quiet secret. Most shops in Kitchener are shut on Sundays, so the day reads as inconvenient, but both Othman's Kitchener shops are open 11 to 5 and rarely busy at the start of it.
When you should book instead
Three cases. If you want a specific barber, book — a walk-in gets whoever is free. If you want a long service, book: a haircut with a hot towel shave is a 45-minute slot and the full package is ninety minutes, and neither can be squeezed in between walk-ins. And if you are coming on a Saturday afternoon, book.
Everything else — a haircut, a fade, a line-up, a beard trim — is a walk-in without thinking about it.

Parking and paying
Lancaster St W is closed to through traffic until December 2026, so Lancaster is on its rear entrance via Bond St for now — park nearby and walk in. Westheights has free plaza parking as usual. Westheights has free plaza parking. Neither is a downtown meter-hunting exercise, which is most of why people choose them over a shop in the core.
Debit, credit and cash all work, and every shop has an Othman's-managed ATM inside with the service charge waived if you would rather tip in cash.
Common questions
Do I need to call ahead? No. Walk in any day either shop is open.
How long will I wait? It varies by hour. Weekday mornings, usually not at all. Saturday afternoon, expect to wait or book.
Can I walk in for a hot towel shave? You can ask, but it is a 45-minute booking with the haircut and shops often cannot fit one between walk-ins. Booking is the safer route.
Are walk-ins more expensive? No. A haircut is $35 either way.
